Seattle Foodies Enjoy A Friday Lunch At Monsoon Seattle
Seattle Foodies is a community of food lovers who believe everyone can, and should, live better through food. Recently they made a visit to Monsoon in Seattle and Eric and Co. prepared a special meal just for them. Here’s a quote from their blog post:
To spend five minutes with Eric Bahn of Monsoon is to be infused with his passion for food, foodies, food sources, food preparation, and did I mention food? To spend an hour with him is like a college crash course on what makes flavors pop, textures, senses, contrasts, and his mission to imbue a sense of that in everyone. Not just his staff and diners at his restaurant, but everyone.
It was out pleasure to create a menu for the Seattle Foodies. Read the rest of the Seattle Foodies report over on seattlefoodies.net.
Here’s the menu they enjoyed:
- Steamed pork stomach w black peppercorn
- Fresh roll with pork 2 ways
- Cucumber salad with grilled white shrimp
- Monterey squid with heirloom tomato, Chinese celery & Shosito pepper
- Matt Hatcher farms chicken w lemongrass & caramel sauce
- Tamarind soup with halibut collar & fresh pineapple
- Taro dumplings
