Cần Thơ Wine Dinner

6 Course Dinner Celebrating Our Southern Roots

We’re focusing our special events this year on more traditional Vietnamese style dinners and we’re very excited to introduce our six course Cần Thơ Dinner. Cần Thơ is a city near the Mekong Delta in Southern Vietnam and our family and many on our staff grew up in the area. The name comes from “cầm thi giang” which means: river of poems. If you have dined with us before you will recognize some of the Cần Thơ influences in our cuisine: clay pot cooking, whole grilled fish and tamarind soup to name a few. Look for variations on these favorites plus a few surprises (and special sugar cane drinks to cool you off in the August heat). Wine pairings are included in the price!

Please join us for this special celebration.

When: August 11, 2010 6PM + 8:30PM
Where: Monsoon Seattle
Price $45 plus tax and tip. (wine is included)

Call (206) 325.2111 for reservations.

May 16: Dusted Valley Wine Dinner

Join us for a spring dinner with Walla Walla’s Dusted Valley Vintners, recently named Washington Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest. Dusted Valley has made news from their inception in 2003 for being the first Washington winery to use screw caps on all their bottles and for introducing the use of extra-tight-grained Wisconsin Oak for their barrel-aged wines. Eric and Sophie Banh will create a delicious Vietnamese dinner paired wines from their notable collection of Chardonnay, Viognier, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre and lush blends.
